If you’re an Arizona resident, you can support The Logical Foundation through the Arizona Charitable Tax Credit — a unique opportunity to give without spending anything.
- Individuals can donate up to $495
- Married couples filing jointly can donate up to $987
These amounts are eligible for a dollar-for-dollar tax credit, meaning you’ll get that money back when you file your state taxes — not just a deduction, but a full refund or reduction of what you owe. That said, the tax credit is only refundable if you have taxes to pay. If your deductions bring your taxes to less than $495 (or $987), you will not be able to redeem the full $495 (or $987). Instead, the remaining tax credit will carry forward to be able to used for the next five years. To report this remaining tax credit, you must use Form 301.
How it works:
- The Logical Foundation is a Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO) in Arizona.
- When you file your taxes, use Form 321 to claim the credit.
- On Line 1, Part (a) of the form, enter our QCO Code: 22852.
