You may be able to multiply the impact of your gift by asking us to spend it on capacity building. For example, a gift of $100,000 would enable us to hire a full-time fundraiser and scale our programs much faster, potentially saving thousands of lives.

What if I have questions or concerns about making a donation?

It is understandable to be wary about making donations. There are a lot of scams out there, nonprofits that have mismanaged funds, and programs that are simply ineffective. We are dedicated to doing it the right way. We have an auditor, and conduct rigorous studies alongside our programs to transparently describe exactly how much impact we are achieving.

Our intervention, guaranteed income, is the most researched intervention in the world and hundreds of studies have proven its effects are overwhelmingly positive and consistent. Don't take our word for it though; we've put together 50 years of research and findings for you to review if you'd like.

Is my donation tax deductible? What is the Logical Foundations tax ID#?

Yes, donations are tax-deductible in the United States to the extent allowed by law. The Logical Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN# 88-3607946. How can I find out if my employer will match my donation?

Please check if your employer will match your charitable donations. If they don't have a corporate matching program, consider making a suggestion at your company.

Can I choose who receives my donation?

Accepted Answer

According to IRS rules, cash transfers for specific individuals, even if they are in need, are no different than person-to-person gifts and therefore not tax-deductible. If we allowed you to donate to specific people, we would risk being regulated as a money transfer service and losing our charitable status.

I can't donate using the online form, how else can I send donations?

If you can't (or would prefer not to) donate using the online form, please review the options below and send an email to info@thelogicalfoundation.org with the amount of your donation, your preferred alternative donation method, and your contact information so we can send a receipt once we receive your donation.

Zelle
Use Zelle to make a one-time donation, or monthly donations, of less than your bank's Zelle pay limit, generally around $1,000. Zelle has zero fees.

Credit card
PayPal charges non-profits 2.2% + $0.30 on each transaction so we only recommend this for smaller donations.
